I. Interim Narrative Report

A. Project Implementation

Project implemented in primary, middle and senior high schools:

Luodian BOE launched the project activity since the beginning of fall semester in Sept. 2011. The preliminary selection of beneficiary students for this financial aid was completed by the target schools by the end of Sept. and Luodian BOE reviewed and approved the student name list according to the financial aid standards in early Oct. 2011. Teachers in charge of class in each school monitor the financial aid utilizing by the students, ensuring the funds is used by the students for their study, e.g. purchase books and stationary. For some high school students and college students, the funds are also used to support their living cost.

Discretionary funds implementation:

This year's discretionary fund is to be used to support four college students from poor families. The beneficiary students are selected by the Financial Aid Center of Luodian BOE.

The funds will be awarded to the students when they come back to Luodian County in the winter holidays, by the end of Feb 2012.
